Inspired by the 1950s American diner, the Muvico Starlight 20 Theater in Tampa Palms treats moviegoers to a highly themed environment and amenities like a children's play room and a lobby video arcade. To reach the box office, which was designed as a giant 1950s-era radio, patrons walk across pavement with a green-and-rose checkered tablecloth pattern. Kiosks flanking the box office resemble diner jukeboxes, and seats behind it integrate the tail fins of 1950s autos. A second-story mock highway overpass winds along the walls through the interior. The centerpiece concession area, called the Hot Diner, is set against a night-sky backdrop and bounded by imitation gas pumps.
